The Things You Learn Digging Through The Archives ...

You may be familiar with Garrett Hardin. Best known for his 1968 essay "The Tragedy of the Commons" and an outspoken proponent of coercive population control, Hardin's work was central to the branch of the early environmental movement that focused on overpopulation as the root of all societal ills. After coming across the note listed above, I must admit that I'll always associate him with his apparent appreciation for a good "peanut butter sandwitch (sic)."
